Job description

The Imagine360 Foundation is a newly established nonprofit organization dedicated to tackling the growing crisis of healthcare affordability and access in the United States. As its inaugural Executive Director, you will have the unique opportunity to build the Foundation from the ground up establishing its vision, infrastructure, programs, and partnerships. This role requires an entrepreneurial leader who is deeply mission-driven and eager to turn bold ideas into a sustainable impact. You will serve as both the strategic architect and public face of the Foundation, driving efforts to improve health equity, financial access, and advocacy for vulnerable and underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizational Development & Leadership
    • Lead the launch and foundational build-out of the Imagine360 Foundation, including, operational and programmatic structures.
    • Establish and collaborate with the non-profit Board of Directors to define the organization's long-term vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
    • Establish governance, reporting frameworks, and internal processes to ensure transparency, compliance, and scalability.
    • Collaborate with Finance to create and adhere to budgetary guidelines.
  • Advocacy & Public Awareness
    • Raise national awareness around the realities of being "functionally uninsured," where individuals technically have insurance but face unaffordable deductibles and copays.
    • Drive public education campaigns to shed light on the financial pressures facing working families and the gaps in both public and private healthcare coverage.
  • Access to Care & Navigation Support
    • Partner with Upland Advocacy and other organizations to help Imagine360 members and the broader community access affordable or free healthcare services.
    • Build and manage programs that support individuals in navigating complex coverage systems and understanding their options.
  • Financial Assistance & Innovation
    • Design and implement initiatives that offer low-cost financing for individuals who need to spread out healthcare payments over time.
    • Identify creative funding sources and innovative partnerships to scale financial support programs.
  • Health Equity & Risk Mitigation
    • Promote education and interventions around social determinants of health-focusing on individuals most at risk of falling through the cracks of the system.
    • Develop community-based solutions that proactively address risk and improve outcomes for marginalized populations.
  • Community & Employee Support
    • Serve as a rapid response resource when unexpected challenges arise. Supporting Imagine360 team members and the wider community during personal health or financial crises.
    • Create internal giving programs, emergency funds, or crisis assistance protocols as part of the Foundation's mission of compassion.


Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Public health, Health Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in non-profit leadership, healthcare advocacy or related sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience in launching or scaling a nonprofit, foundation, or mission-driven initiative.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage executive leaders, board members, and potential large donors.
  • Track record of fundraising, board engagement, and external partnership development is preferred.


Skills And Abilities

  • Strong understanding of healthcare affordability issues, social determinants of health, and equity-driven program design.
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with healthcare organizations, funders, community agencies, and policymakers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate strategically while also executing tactically in a startup environment.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with a passion for storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and public speaking.
