CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Vice President, Corporate Distribution. This role will lead and strengthen strategic broker relationships at the national and super-regional level, driving key growth and engagement initiatives across the enterprise. The ideal candidate brings deep commercial insurance experience, strong relationship management skills, and a data-driven, execution-focused mindset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and strengthening our strategic agent/broker relationships at the national/super regional level (top 15).
- Support the EVP of Distribution, RPs and BDDs on the delivery and execution of our growth strategy – enables execution of regional initiatives to achieve company goals, including development of KPIs.
- Develop & execute market development strategies to strengthen broker engagement, based on data and performance analytics.
- Facilitates structured access to key partners through regular business review meetings, broker engagement forums and market events.
- In partnership w/EVP Distribution, CUO and RPS, this role will effectively support efforts around large account pipelining and verticals.
- Ownership and support of all enterprise broker events, and regional events in collaboration with EVP of Distribution and RPs [i.e. Waste Management, IMA enterprise meetings].
- Works closely with underwriting colleagues to ensure clear and timely communication around our value proposition, appetite and underwriting strategies to the relevant brokerage partners (creation of the industry vertical specific artifacts).
- Oversee the delivery of broker agreements including regular portfolio analysis and business review (preparation of reports, trend analysis, etc.).
- Automates and delivers broker dashboards (region and enterprise top 10 reports) to relevant internal stakeholders to enable strategic assessment of evolving broker relationships, in partnership with RPs.
- Understanding and monitoring the dynamic landscape of distribution partners driven by M&A activities.
- Responsible for communicating changes with our distribution partners to internal stakeholders [i.e. Data & Legal] to ensure integrity of reports and contracts as necessary.
- Ownership and maintenance of the enterprise distribution playbook.
- Manages, tracks and administers [within approved budget] all agency supplementals, profit sharing agreements and contracts, conducts analysis and make recommendations with RPs.
- Oversight of LLC/Community budget for agent/broker charitable giving across the enterprise footprint.
- Fosters and develops accountabilities and best practices for enterprise distribution, RPs, BDDs, UW leaders to maximize CopperPoint’s effectiveness with agent/broker partners.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with significant insurance industry experience
- Ideally over 10 years underwriting and or agency/broker related experience
- In depth knowledge of commercial insurance business, products and customer & distribution dynamics
- Experience in complex accounts with large/key brokers a key advantage
- Strong executive presence, with the proven ability to influence senior leaders internally and externally, including at the C-level
- Experience in market-facing and distribution roles
- Strategic growth mindset with a focus on delivery and execution
- Strong relationship management, people skills and solution-oriented approach
- Excellent communication & presentation skills, collaboration skills and ability to navigate ambiguity and manage change
- Ability to trust-based business relationships with customers and producers
- Data analytical skill is highly preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Application including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Salary Range:
- $170,000.00 - $220,000.00 annually
- Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
- In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus
