Position Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and highly communicative Patient Account Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for reviewing patient accounts, handling billing inquiries, and assisting patients with payments and insurance-related concerns. You will play a key role in ensuring a positive patient experience while supporting the financial health of our practice.

Tuesday to Saturday | 2 AM to 11 AM (Manila Time)
Permanent work from home

Responsibilities:

Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness.
Contact patients via phone to notify them of outstanding balances, collect payments, set up payment plans, etc.
Accurately document all interactions and account activity in our Practice Management (PM) system (Care Cloud).
Read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from insurance carriers.
Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility when necessary.
Handle both incoming and outgoing calls related to patient billing and insurance inquiries.
Maintain a professional, friendly, and upbeat demeanor in all patient interactions.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a healthcare or medical billing setting is required.
Excellent English communication skills—both spoken and written—are required.
Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude.
Ability to understand and explain insurance EOBs to patients.
Experience with Care Cloud is a plus, but not required; training will be provided.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
