About the Position
 

Flora Food Group is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Junior Legal Counsel to join our Legal & Compliance team in Amsterdam. This is a hybrid role, combining the flexibility of remote working with the energy of in-person collaboration at our vibrant Amsterdam office. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Dutch-qualified lawyer at the start of their legal career to work across a broad range of legal and commercial matters in a truly international setting. 

You’ll primarily support our Netherlands and Nordic teams on day-to-day legal matters, while also contributing to projects in Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Working alongside a Senior Legal Counsel, your scope will include commercial contracts, food law, advertising and marketing, employment, property, IP, and company secretarial work. 

You’ll enjoy a high level of autonomy, collaboration, and the chance to build hands-on experience across diverse business functions, including R&D, HR, Marketing, Sales and Country Leadership. This is a fast-paced, high-trust environment that suits someone who is resourceful, embraces challenges and is eager to grow. 

 

What Does It Take to Be Successful? 

We are looking for a motivated junior legal professional who is curious, commercially minded, and ready to get stuck in. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Dutch-qualified lawyer (required), with 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience (in-house or private practice).
  • Strong drafting and communication skills in both Dutch and English plus additional languages preferred.
  • Open to candidates from a range of sectors – previous FMCG or commercial in-house experience is a bonus, but not essential. 

Skills & Mindset 

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong organisational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
  • A keen eye for detail and a “build it, run it, own it” mindset.
  • Digitally confident and curious – interested in using tech to improve legal operations.
  • Naturally collaborative, able to build relationships across borders and functions.
