Senior Estimator (Remote/ Hybrid Role)

Location: Pendeford Business Park, Pendeford, Wolverhampton

Salary: £50K - £60K+ Plus Car Allowance subject to experience

Are you an established Senior Construction Estimator with a flair for achieving success in Residential, Industrial, and Commercial projects? SWG Construction is seeking a seasoned Estimator to strengthen our team and aid in securing new build and refurbishment contracts. Qualifications:

An applicable degree in construction or a related field, either finished or ongoing and or highly experienced in a similar role.
A minimum of five years' experience as an Estimator with a principal contractor in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine tender documentation, including drawings and technical documents, to prepare precise, detailed estimates.
Arrange subcontract and supplier packages, including take-offs, and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to address queries.
Organise and carry out site visits, communicating with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
Evaluate cost factors, such as production time, materials, equipment, and labour expenses, to optimise profitability.
Cooperate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors to ensure project success.
Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to meet pricing requirements.
Offer cost-effective, value-engineered suggestions and submit tenders.
Transfer successful projects to the construction team without a hitch.
Skills/Experience:
Adept with Excel and familiarity with Causeway estimating software (preferred).
Capacity to work independently, handle multiple projects, and meet stringent deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
