Description

Position Overview: 

Regional Sales Manager establishes sales relationships with existing and prospective customers through industry and product knowledge deploying a solutions-based approach. Also, achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling production and processing equipment (separators, treaters, dehydration systems) and environmental control equipment (flares, enclosed combustors, vapor recovery units, etc.) for the oil & gas upstream and midstream sectors. The successful candidate will have well-established industry connections and reside in their territorial area.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establishes, fosters, and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the company’s products and services.
  • Makes telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers at corporate and/or field headquarters.
  • Navigates within organizations to influence decision makers using technical, commercial, and solutions-based skills and experience.
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers information to determine their potential.
  • The ability to gather market intelligence in the upstream oil & gas market including competitors.
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong bias toward action.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer challenges and concerns.
  • Ability to execute corporate sales strategy at highest levels within current and prospective customers.
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and the potential for new products and services.
  • Supports organizational success with timely communication and coordination with other sales team members.
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities and advertising and promotional trend through the reading or pertinent literature.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Must be a person of influence with a strong moral compass and impeccable ethics personally and professionally.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
  • 3 years sales experience in oil & gas upstream and midstream environmental control equipment and services.
  • Valid driver’s license: position requires some travel, mostly driving.
  • Demonstrated maturity to work independently and in front of groups.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
