About the Role


We are seeking a Perinatal Quality Collaboratives Analyst II to support a contract with our federal client. The Perinatal Quality Collaboratives Analyst II will provide data management and analytic support. 


This is a fully remote position that can be based from anywhere in the United States.


Responsibilities

  • Work with staff to develop and update (as needed) a fillable PDF form of the Performance Progress Monitoring Report (PPMR), which is used to collect data from federally funded state Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (PQCs).
  • Provide technical assistance to federal-funded PQCs on data collection and reporting via the PPMR biannually or more frequently as requested. Currently, there are 27  federal public health-funded PQCs, but the number may increase.
  • Compile data reported by the federally funded PQCs biannually or more frequently as requested by the program.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of data collected by federal-funded PQCs and provide technical assistance to the PQCs to improve data completeness.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of process and outcome data, and produce a report examining data quality and summarizing problems in collection or programming.
  • Manage and oversee the data collected from federal-funded PQCs, preparing analytic datasets using SAS and/or SPSS as requested by staff, with a codebook and data dictionary.
  • Guide statistical analysis of data collected from the federal-funded PQCs using SAS, REDCap, Excel and/or SPSS.
  • Work with client staff to prepare data and analyses for PQC program products (e.g., manuscripts, abstract, or data briefs).
  • Collaborate closely with client staff to prepare, draft, and review documentation for federal agency clearance.
  • Work with client staff/contractors to develop, implement, and manage transition of the PQC and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID)/Sudden Death in the Young (SDY) Case Registry programs to the Awards Management Platform (AMP).
  • Assist client staff on expanding the existing data system for the SUID/SDY Case Registry to accommodate additional recipients of new cooperative agreement.
  • Communicate updates and challenges via team/project meetings and as requested by team/program lead.
  • Participate in special projects or other data management/statistical duties as requested.
Requirements


Required Experience and Skills

  • Experience in data management and statistical analyses.
  • Proficiency in SAS and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work well within a diverse team, demonstrate a high degree of initiative and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Experience in disseminating work via written and oral communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner.
  • Effective organization skills and ability to prioritize activities when under tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with/in the federal public health agency environment, preferred, but not required 
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Education and Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Data Analysis or a related field required. Master's of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology or Data Analysis preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
