Position Summary: The Early Childhood Education grader is responsible for providing instructional support through constructive, focused feedback to ensure students meet the established learning objectives. The primary function of the Early Childhood Education grader is to evaluate and grade subjective assignments, and projects to assist students in achieving their educational goals through distance education technologies.
Essential Job Functions:
Objectively and accurately evaluate projects against established grading keys and rubrics
Complete the necessary steps to ensure that grades are properly recorded with the school
Grade projects within five days of submission
Correspond with students as may be required by the exam evaluation
Graders may provide input to instructional staff regarding areas of student difficulty
Graders may be asked to develop grading rubrics as directed by the instructional staff
Participate in special grading projects which may be required by the instructional staff
Participate in accreditation as needed
Participate in all policies required by Penn Foster including but not limited to Professional Development
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related discipline
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Early Childhood field
Previous teaching experience preferred. Online teaching a plus
Excellent computer skills along with the ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues.
Must have access to high-speed internet and use personal PC/MAC
