Are You a Fit?

To be successful in this role, you need:

5+ years backend development experience, preferably in distributed/microservices
environments.
Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js (mandatory).
Solid understanding of PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience using LangChain to interface with LLMs (mandatory).
Proven experience with LLM prompt engineering and fine-tuning (mandatory).
Basic to intermediate experience in Python (for AI/ML tasks).
Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with at least one cloud provider (Google Cloud preferred, AWS
acceptable).
Understanding of microservice architectures.
Ability to write and maintain comprehensive tests for backend systems.
Comfortable with asynchronous collaboration and working across time zones.
Professional and technical communication skills in English.

Nice to have Skills

Experience with Terraform.
Familiarity with CircleCI.
PHP knowledge is a plus (not mandatory).
Prior experience integrating third-party AI vendors.
Background in media, publishing, or newsroom technology is advantageous.
