Within Ahlstrom, R&D is organized within the Divisions/BU’s as well as on Group level. In the BU’s we have dedicated teams that are focused on developing new products that meet customer needs. Within the Group Innovation team, we support the BUs with deep expertise in fiber technology, analytical science and the development of new breakthrough technologies.
Within the Group Innovation team, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Innovation Project Manager to lead the execution of strategic innovation projects. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle - from ideation through successful completion - ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Main Responsiblities:
- Lead and manage innovation projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing & sales, operations to drive project execution.
- Conduct project reviews to ensure the team is aligned on the key activities to reach the project goals.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Manage key stakeholders with clear, persuasive communication to ensure project success.
Required qualifications and competencies
- Minimum of 5 years of expereince in project management, preferably in industrial B2B sector, ideally in innovation or product development environments
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Pro-active, self-driven, strong ownership mindset
- Ability to influence others without authority
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively
- Solid verbal, written and presentation skills in English
- Ability to work in a multinational environment and matrix organization.
- Ability to work as a team player and interact with other functions/businesses
