Qualifications:

Fully registered with the GMC and licensed to practice medicine., Minimum of 4 years post-registration experience, including at least 2 years in acute settings such as ICU, A&E, or pre-hospital roles., Experience in aeromedical retrievals and international patient transfers., Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the effects of flight on patients, with ongoing or completed aeromedical retrieval training..

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing medical care during aeromedical retrievals and patient transfers.
  • Working autonomously in dynamic and unpredictable international environments.
  • Collaborating with flight nurses and other medical professionals during missions.
  • Ensuring patient safety and compliance with medical and aviation standards during flights.

Here at IMG we are pleased to announce that we are looking for Flight Doctors working on Adhoc / contractor Basis.

We have managed this with our outstanding team of flight nurses & Drs who have worked with us for many years. As IMG grows, and the demand for repatriations increases we are recruiting more flight Nurses & Drs into our team.

 What We`re Looking for: 

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice.
  • 4 years post registration experience with at least 2 years in an acute field such as ICU/A&E or pre-hospital roles.
  • Experience in aeromedical retrievals.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and with confidence.
  • Experience of professional or personal international travel.
  • Must be dynamic and adaptable in response to the unpredictability of international patient transfer.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of normal anatomy & physiology and the impact of disease, illness, injury & stresses of flight on the patient.
  • Have studied or working towards CCAT course or other aeromedical retrieval course.
  • Hold a full right work in the United Kingdom.
