Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Work from your home office, preferably in the greater Chicagoland area (within 2 hours of Aurora, IL).

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan for your assigned area.

  • Serve as the primary contact for strategic end-users and distributor representatives, building relationships with key decision-makers.

  • Manage distributor relationships with sales representatives and regional management.

  • Support existing strategic customers and increase market share within the Midwest territory.

  • Engage directly with new and existing end-users in Controlled Environments, fostering strong connections with key users and influencers.

  • Understand customers’ contamination control methods and promote Vileda Professional’s cleaning systems to meet specific needs.

  • Identify opportunities to develop new products for high-volume accounts.

  • Track sales opportunities using CRM tools.

  • Apply an insight-led selling approach (Challenger Sale).

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Home office preferred in the Chicagoland area (within 2 hours of Aurora, IL). Travel within the assigned territory as needed (estimated 30-50%) which will include Illinois, Ohio, and up to 3 additional Midwest states.

  • B.S. preferred (Marketing, Economics, Sales, Business Administration, Engineering or Microbiology).

  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in controlled environments, scientific or lab markets. 

  • Experience working with cleanroom supply distributors.

  • Basic knowledge of cGMP standards and cleanroom environments. Preferred familiarity with mechanical cleaning tools and microfiber technology.

  • High level understanding of Microsoft Office (Primarily: Excel, Word and Power Point).

  • Adept at tracking sales activities and keeping a robust pipeline of opportunities alive and moving forward.

  • Clear and confident communicator, thriving in collaboration with diverse teams, with fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) as a must.

  • Sharp analytical thinker with a knack for solving problems and staying organized under pressure.

  • Brings an entrepreneurial spirit, turning obstacles into possibilities and consistently taking the initiative to drive results.

  • Flexible and creative, embracing change with innovative solutions and a mindset that thinks beyond the conventional.
