Job description

Btis is seeking a claims assistant to join our team and provide excellence in customer service and administrative support, assisting in all claim matters within the organization.   The successful candidate will possess excellent organization and communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with co-workers, customers, agents, and carriers.  This position will require communication with carriers and third party claims adjusters on a regular basis

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

Set up new claims in our system, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Coordinate claims data, correspondence, and documentation, maintaining organized records
Respond to claims-related inquiries timely and professionally
Collaborate with agents and carriers to resolve claims, providing exceptional customer service
Accurately input claims data into our system, ensuring data integrity
Liaise with management to ensure claims are processed efficiently and effectively
Maintain confidentiality of company information and customer data

Qualifications

Prior experience in an office or customer-facing role
 Strong interpersonal and exceptional customer service skills to externally and within team
Proficiency in computer systems, office software, and databases
Knowledge of commercial insurance principles a plus but not required    
Detail-oriented and organized with strong written, verbal, and email communication skills
Analytical skills to assist with claim inquiries and data gathering, such as locating policy numbers or resolving issues
Effective time management skills to follow daily plans and prioritize tasks
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously without prompting

Compensation range for position   $19 - $21/hour depending on several factors including geographical location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge pertaining to this role and industry.
