OPPORTUNITY & IMPACT: Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Stacy Peterson, the SVP of Sales will be responsible for growing the Jeni’s wholesale/CPG business and increasing the momentum of an already established brand flywheel: three revenue channels that support and feed—rather than compete with—each other. This position is part of the Jeni's home office. The Jeni's home office is located in Columbus, Ohio.
Our product and brand are the engine at Jeni’s, and the SVP of Sales will deeply understand our retailer, category and customer needs. The SVP of sales will lead the strategy development, implementation, performance and measurement of the wholesale channel. Like all executives on the team, this leader will also support initiates that drive growth across three business lines (Shops, Wholesale and DTC), fueling innovation, driving awareness and affinity among new audiences, establishing emotional connections that convert new and casual customers into irrationally loyal vocal brand advocates for life, and more.
The right leader will have both a growth and a customer-first mindset, fueled by obsessive focus on the quality of our ice cream and supporting the amazing in-home experience our customers have when they eat it. Always leading with the question: how do we want our customers to feel? Balancing long-term healthy growth and brand building against short-term goals. And finding ways to amplify the qualities that make our brand special, living out the ideals of an inclusive and open-minded company that people identify with and are drawn to.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
Define and deliver strategic objectives centered on accelerating net revenue growth, expanding profit margins, and increasing enterprise value.
Develop and execute high-impact strategies that align sales, marketing, finance, and operations toward achieving long-term business goals.
Identify and unlock new growth opportunities across channels, categories, and customers—ensuring sustainable and scalable expansion.
Retail Partnership & Category Leadership
Serve as a senior relationship owner with key retail partners, driving mutual growth through category leadership, joint business planning, and innovative activation strategies.
Lead efforts to grow total category value, not just brand share—delivering win-win solutions that benefit both the company and retail customers.
Sales Strategy, Planning & Execution
Own the development and execution of channel-specific sales strategies, inclusive of forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning.
Set ambitious yet achievable performance targets across core commercial KPIs: margins, profits, total distribution points (TDPs), velocity, price-pack architecture (PPA), and market share.
Oversee new account launches and commercialization plans, ensuring cohesive trade strategies and successful market entries that meet internal and external expectations.
Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Leadership
Actively manage performance across both product categories, ensuring focus on profitable growth, operating efficiency, and brand health.
Lead cross-functional alignment and execution by collaborating closely with internal teams in finance, supply chain, marketing, and operations.
Use data and analytics to drive agile decision-making, optimize ROI, and maintain competitive advantage.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team focused on accountability, collaboration, and results.
Coach and develop team members at all levels, ensuring career growth, skill advancement, and succession planning across the organization.
Foster a culture of ownership, inclusion, and performance excellence—empowering individuals to take initiative and drive outcomes.
Establish clear goals and performance expectations while providing ongoing feedback and recognition to motivate and retain top talent.
