Job description

A growing digital team is seeking a skilled Laravel Developer to help deliver a variety of custom client platforms, including a next-generation SaaS product that combines Laravel, WordPress, and AI capabilities. This is a fully remote position with a strong emphasis on collaboration through Slack, shared planning tools, and weekly team meetings.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Developing new features and tools using Laravel, Livewire, and AlpineJS
Creating responsive, reusable front-end components with Tailwind CSS
Building and integrating APIs to ensure seamless platform functionality
Collaborating with WordPress developers to connect Laravel systems with custom plugins and RESTful endpoints
Writing clean, modular, and well-documented PHP code aligned with modern Laravel practices
Building and maintaining data scraping tools for regular automated information collection and updates
Integrating OpenAI APIs and machine learning features to enable smart automation and recommendation systems
Designing and optimising both relational (MySQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
Participating in source control workflows using Git, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews
Contributing to project planning and technical estimation discussions

Key Requirements

Strong commercial experience building modern web applications using Laravel
Proficiency with Livewire and AlpineJS for reactive UI development
Solid front-end development skills using Tailwind CSS
Confident building and consuming RESTful APIs
Deep understanding of PHP and Laravel architectural best practices
Experience designing and querying MySQL databases with performance in mind
Proficient with Git-based workflows and collaborative development processes
Exposure to integrating third-party services such as Stripe, OpenAI, or SendGrid
Knowledge of secure authentication methods and data privacy (e.g., GDPR)

Desirable Experience
