Entry-Level AWS QuickSight Developer

Focus School Software is a fast-growing school management software company. We thrive on creating some of the most innovative features on the market today, helping educators to meet their evolving needs in classrooms, district management, state reporting compliance, and other facets of student-centered education and technology.

Focus School Software is looking to expand our team by hiring an Entry-Level AWS QuickSight Developer. This person will support the redesign and modernization of our Analytics product, which includes dozens of dashboards analyzing student data to help educators target interventions and improve educational outcomes. We’re seeking someone who brings fresh ideas for how data can be visualized, organized, and presented to educators and administrators in innovative ways. While this position is primarily internal-facing, there may be occasional customer-facing opportunities that support professional growth and training experience.

The ideal candidate is passionate about data visualization, interested in education, and ready to contribute ideas that help school districts better understand and act on their data.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience and strong interest in working with AWS QuickSight
• Strong SQL skills and working with structured datasets
• Comfort with analyzing and presenting data through charts, graphs, or dashboards
• Experience with statistical research and analytics techniques (i.e. classification, clustering, regression, segmentation, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Exposure to education-related data or background in K–12 education
• Coursework or project experience in data analytics, computer science, or information systems

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with the Analytics and Product teams to rebuild SIS dashboards in AWS QuickSight
• Explore creative and intuitive ways to present data to school districts
• Assist in designing visual layouts and navigation for improved user experience
• Work with data pulled from our Student Information System to build compelling visuals
• Support ongoing testing and refinement of dashboards for usability and performance
