JOB SUMMARY:
Edesia is seeking a highly creative and mission-driven Graphic Designer to visually communicate the life-saving work we do to save children worldwide. This position plays an important role in enhancing Edesia’s brand identity through the design of compelling print and digital materials, managing content for our social media platforms, and maintaining our website. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using visual storytelling to advance humanitarian goals and will bring fresh, thoughtful design ideas that align with Edesia’s global impact. This role reports directly to our Founder and CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Creative Design and Branding
Design a wide range of branded materials, including brochures, fact sheets, banners, reports, signage, presentations, infographics, and packaging.
Ensure brand consistency across all external and internal communications by following established brand guidelines and evolving them when appropriate.
Collaborate cross-functionally with communications, development, operations, and leadership teams to develop design concepts that support campaigns, partnerships, events, and donor engagement.
Support product packaging design needs in coordination with the operations and quality teams to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory specifications.
Prepare print-ready files and coordinate with vendors to ensure high-quality printed materials.
Manage timelines, file storage, and version control for all design projects.
Digital and Web Assets
Create visually engaging digital assets for Edesia’s website, email newsletters, social media channels, and donor outreach.
Maintain and update Edesia’s WordPress website with fresh content, visuals, and functional improvements to ensure ease of use, accuracy, and accessibility.
Assist in the development of multimedia content such as short-form animations or video overlays when needed.
Optimize images and graphics for various platforms (print, web, mobile).
Social Media Content Creation
Design and develop visually engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter/X.
Collaborate with the communications team to plan, schedule, and post content that promotes Edesia’s mission, values, partnerships, and field stories.
Create templates or series for recurring posts (e.g., donor spotlights, impact metrics, behind-the-scenes content).
Track visual content performance across platforms to inform design improvements and audience engagement strategies.
Stay informed on visual trends and evolving platform requirements to keep Edesia’s content modern and impactful.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience in social media management and graphic design.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Express, and WordPress.
Strong grasp of social media trends, content planning, and analytics.
Excellent written English skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage projects across time zones.
Passion for Edesia’s humanitarian mission.
