Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Seller/Doer to join our Southern California team. This role will focus on disaster recovery and utility undergrounding projects, combining business development expertise with hands-on project execution to drive growth and deliver innovative solutions in critical areas.

Position Overview:

As a Seller/Doer, you will play a dual role in driving business development efforts while overseeing the successful execution of projects related to disaster recovery and utility undergrounding. This position requires a strategic thinker with technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in project and program management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new opportunities in disaster recovery and utility undergrounding sectors using market insights and industry networks.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to foster long-term collaboration and business growth.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and project plans to secure new contracts and expand Parsons’ footprint.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead multidisciplinary teams in planning, executing, and delivering projects that meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.
    • Oversee FEMA and other government funding processes to ensure compliance and maximize project outcomes.
    • Monitor project performance, address challenges, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Industry Leadership:
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
    • Represent Parsons at conferences, industry events, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in disaster recovery (e.g., wildfire, hurricane) and/or utility undergrounding projects.
    • Proven track record in business development, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
    • Strong project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Skills and Certifications:
    • Familiarity with FEMA processes and guidelines is highly desirable.
    • Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) are preferred.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
