Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and experienced Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, revising, and finalizing content for publication. This includes managing writers, ensuring accuracy and clarity, maintaining brand voice, and meeting deadlines. The Editor will work closely with content creators, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality written materials across digital and print platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit and proofread articles, blog posts, reports, social media content, and marketing materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity.

  • Ensure content aligns with the companys tone, style, and branding guidelines.

  • Rewrite or reorganize content as necessary to improve readability and flow.

  • Collaborate with writers and contributors to develop high-quality, engaging content.

  • Fact-check all information to ensure accuracy and credibility.

  • Oversee the content calendar and manage deadlines effectively.

  • Work closely with design and marketing teams to ensure consistency across media.

  • Maintain and update editorial guidelines as needed.

  • Provide constructive feedback to writers and help develop their writing skills.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an Editor, Copy Editor, or similar role (3+ years preferred).

  • Exceptional command of the English language.

  • Strong attention to detail and editing skills.

  • Familiarity with SEO, digital publishing tools, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the [industry, e.g., tech, finance, lifestyle, healthcare].

  • Knowledge of AP, Chicago, or MLA style guides.

  • Proficiency in content management tools, Grammarly, or Hemingway Editor.
