JOB BRIEF
The VP of Sales Strategy and Operations will oversee GreenSlate’s sales team, working under the direction of the Chief Sales Officer and closely with the CEO on go-to-market sales execution. TThe role requires a combination of skills to effectively manage GreenSlate’s sales team while collaborating with the Marketing, Account Management, and Revenue Operations teams. The Sales Manager is expected to lead and direct the sales team to achieve company sales targets, develop and implement sales strategies, manage performance, and ensure customer satisfaction during and after the sales cycle, as well as hire, train, and motivate the sales team.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
Leadership and Team Management:
- Build and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of high accountability and collaboration to achieve targets and revenue growth
- Recruit, onboard, and develop top-tier sales talent, ensuring each team member has a clear growth path and regular performance feedback; provide ongoing coaching and mentorship
- Drive change management initiatives to embed best practices and mindset across the sales organization
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with Client Success, Product Management, Marketing, and other internal teams to ensure a unified approach to customer engagement and retention
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Partner with the CSO to develop and implement sales strategies to set aggressive yet achievable revenue targets and quotas to achieve company goals
- Develop and implement effective commission structures and incentive programs to motivate performance and drive desired behaviors
- Analyze sales data and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and industry shifts to proactively adjust sales tactics and maintain a competitive edge
Sales Operations:
- Develop and implement scalable sales processes that increase efficiencies and results across the team; this includes analyzing current sales workflows to identify gaps and lead initiatives to streamline operations
- Manage Revenue Operations function; define and track key sales metrics, ensuring visibility into pipeline health and revenue growth
- Optimize Hubspot and other tools to improve forecast accuracy, pipeline and team productivity
- Collaborate with Marketing to align on lead generation and conversion strategies
- Own and manage the sales budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources to maximize ROI and support growth initiatives across regions and segments
- Oversee the development and implementation of lead research strategies, equipping the sales team with actionable insights to improve targeting and conversion rates
WHO YOU ARE
- 10+ years experience in sales with 5+ in sales team management
- Leadership and Management Skills: Strong ability to motivate, coach, and lead a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise within the sales process.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of success in sales and a strong understanding of sales techniques.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient operations.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to present information clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 10 Weeks per year

SALARY RANGE:
$300-350K OTE
