Job description

This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced actuary to work with some of the most advanced and complex life and health actuarial models in the insurance industry. A newly formed actuarial team is being established to provide high-level advisory services on model risk and model development to a key international partner.

As a Senior Model Risk Actuary, you will work on a wide range of insurance products, from Long-Term Care to variable and fixed annuities and financial guarantees. You will engage with diverse actuarial modelling tasks, including dynamic assumption setting, machine learning techniques, traditional cash-flow modelling, and mortality improvement analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and analysing actuarial models for accuracy, auditability, scalability, and compliance with internal standards

  • Identifying model risks and advising on process improvements

  • Collaborating with cross-functional and international teams

  • Providing insight and contributing to the development of best-in-class modelling practices

  • Participating in building a new centre of actuarial expertise




Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience actuarial modelling or risk modelling

  • A proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented approach

  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a global team

  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language and understanding of coding standards

  • Familiarity with actuarial modelling software (such as AXIS, RAFM, MoSes, Prophet) is highly desirable

  • Prior audit experience and/or international exposure is an advantage

  • Experience in mentoring or people management is considered a plus
