Job Description

The Product Owner – Intercompany Finance is responsible for defining, developing, and continuously improving digital finance solutions that support intercompany processes across the organization. This role ensures alignment between global financial strategy and local business needs, with a particular focus on subsidiaries operating in the private label business and on country-specific requirements in regions such as Poland, Portugal, Moldova, Ukraine, Portugal, Czech Republic and others.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Intercompany Finance Ownership: Lead the product vision and roadmap for intercompany finance processes, ensuring efficient transaction flows, reconciliation, and compliance across all group entities.
  • Private Label Subsidiaries Support: Oversee intercompany financial processes specifically for subsidiaries engaged in private label business, ensuring that their operational and financial models are accurately supported by digital tools.
  • Localization of Financial Requirements: Collect, assess, and translate local financial and regulatory requirements into functional specifications for countries including Poland, Moldova, Ukraine, Portugal, and other relevant markets.
  • Product Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog for intercompany finance topics. Ensure that user stories and acceptance criteria are clear, business-value-driven, and aligned with company goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact for business, IT, finance, and compliance stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and consensus-driven decision-making.
  • Process Documentation and Harmonization: Map and standardize intercompany finance processes, promoting harmonization across group entities while accommodating necessary local variations.
  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance: Ensure financial solutions remain compliant with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and local legislation. Support audit processes and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and stakeholder feedback.

    Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role, with a strong focus on financial products or features.

  • Understanding of intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and pricing

  • Familiarity with financial operations and compliance in countries such as Poland, Moldova, Ukraine, Czech Republic, and Portugal

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and legal departments

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

  • Communication & stakeholder management skills - Excellent

  • Product ownership & backlog management - Excellent

  • Business analysis & requirements gathering - Excellent

  • Leadership skills  - Excellent

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving - Strong

  • Intercompany finance processes - Strong

  • Local finance regulations and compliance (PL, MD, UA, PT, etc.) - Good

  • Agile methodology & tools (Jira, Confluence, Scrum practices) - Good

  • Process mapping and documentation (e.g., BPMN, flowcharts) - Good

  • Russian language proficiency (spoken and written) - Good

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) - Intermediate
