Job description

N-iX Game & VR Studio is a team of 100+ professionals, delivering top-quality games, game assets, and VR solutions to various game and media enterprises and startups. Among our clients are Paradox Interactive, Supermassive Games, Tempo Storm, and other established game businesses and VR startups. We are currently seeking an experienced 3D Artist to work remotely, in-house, or on a freelance basis, delivering high-quality, realistic hard-surface 3D assets, such as weapons, vehicles, and props, for AAA games across various genres.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of high-quality vehicles/weapons/props
  • Match the required art style of a project
  • Cooperate with other artists to streamline the art creation process
  • Work with the team lead to create a plan and schedule

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of SubD modelling
  • Strong modelling and texturing skills
  • Ability to rationally distribute polycount at the facility
  • Understanding different UV types (tiles, rectangular, UDIM)
  • Ability to follow and correctly interpret the concept
  • Ability to create 3D models from a photo/drawing
  • Strong knowledge of 3dsMax/Maya/Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter,  Marmoset Toolbag
  • Understanding of modern pipelines and technical limitations for creating hard surface models
  • Good understanding of PBR pipelines for texturing
  • Strong portfolio showing 3D art skills
  • Good organization, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with the game development cycle

As a plus:

  • Sculpting in Zbrush, CAD modeling
  • Knowledge of Substance Designer, Fusion 360/Plasticity, ImageModeler, UE5, Unity
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Passion for games
