Audit Associate
SF Bay Area Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 DOE; Offered compensation will be adjusted for remote employees, based on the cost of living and market rate in their area of residence.

Audit Associates at our firm . . . 

•    Preparation of financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP as needed and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. 
•    Utilizes knowledge of GAAS principles and applies them to engagements. 
•    Completes all appropriate documentation of work papers.
•    Researches accounting topics and forms initial opinions.
•    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
•    Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the successful completion of engagements; and
•    Research accounting topics and form initial opinions.

To make it as part of our team, Audit Associate candidates should have . . . 
•    1+ years of experience in public accounting, which includes experience in external audit and assurance services;
•    A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; 
•    Knowledge of accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS etc); 
•    Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement;
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
•    Ability to communicate effectively in English – both verbally and in writing; and 
•    Be willing and able to travel within the greater San Francisco Bay Area for client fieldwork or other business-related needs, as necessary.
