Operations – St. Louis, Missouri (Remote)

This role oversees the performance, compliance, and financial optimization of our rapidly growing operating fleet. It involves monitoring system performance, managing service providers, ensuring contract compliance, and identifying opportunities to enhance asset value. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing renewable energy portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of operating solar PV projects to ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze system data using monitoring platforms to track performance, detect underperformance, and drive issue resolution.
  • O&M Oversight: Manage relationships with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) providers. Ensure timely maintenance, issue resolution, and adherence to agreements.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with key contracts, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), O&M contracts, and warranty agreements.
  • Reporting: Generate performance, availability, and production reports for internal teams and external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Financial Interface: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to support budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and updated project documentation, including maintenance logs, performance data, warranties, and compliance records.
  • Optimization Initiatives: Identify and implement performance enhancement strategies, including equipment upgrades, software solutions, or maintenance improvements.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure assets meet environmental, regulatory, and safety compliance requirements. Support the implementation of programs such as NERC, if applicable.
  • Commissioning & Handover: Support project transition from construction to commercial operations, including commissioning oversight and performance benchmarking.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in solar asset management, operations, or related fields in renewable energy.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, performance metrics, and energy production analytics.
  • Experience working with asset management or SCADA platforms (e.g., Power Factors, AlsoEnergy, LENS).
  • Familiarity with key contractual documents such as PPAs, O&M agreements, and EPC contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with Excel and knowledge of database tools or automation scripts (e.g., Python, SQL) are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
