Job description

Position: Machinist

Location: Grimsby

Hours: Mon-Fri, 38hrs/week + O/T

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 4-6 weeks

PAYE Pay Rates: Blue Book Grade 5:

1st 38 Hrs Mon-Fri: £21.41/hr Including Holiday Pay

O/T 1: £26.75/hr

The Role:

Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting for a Machinist for a 4-6 week contract for a market leading, global company based in Grimsby. Duties will include:

Reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints / engineering drawings and instructions to determine specifications and tolerances as required.

Setting up and operating a Lathe (CNC) / Vertical Boring machine to produce mechanical components according to specifications

Ensuring all workscope undertaken is carried out in a safe and productive manner, in line with Supervisors direction, company and project procedures

Planning correct sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.

Selecting and installing appropriate cutting tools based on job requirements

Ensuring that the workpiece is secured in the machine and adjust machine settings as necessary.

Monitoring the machining process and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy

Using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges to check components during manufacture.

Maintaining a clean and organized work area and perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines.

Communicating with team members to ensure that production goals are met.

Maintaining inventory and completes quality assurance documents.

Requirements:

Time served trained / level 3 Qualification in machining or equivalent

CCNSG card

Has the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and be prepared to work extended hours if required to meet customer demand.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail.

Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Adherence to health & safety standards at all times.

Proactively identify and make recommendation for improvements.
