Visual Analytics Implementation Specialist

Position Summary

Partner with a team of resources to deliver a Clinical Informatics solution to bioMérieux customers delivering Lab Insights built upon an Advanced Analytics Platform and Infrastructure. Build a collection of Analytics Products, including but not limited to automated and interactive visual dashboards and statistical analysis which will inform and empower different stakeholders to measure performance and make near real-time decisions based on the insights provided within. Build interactive and complex data visualizations and analysis tools (e.g., dashboards). 

Primary Duties

1. Drive implementation projects to completion for bioMérieux Advanced Analytics, Torch/SPOTFIRE, and microbiology systems.  
2. Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using complex datasets from different sources.
3. Research, design, and test machine-learning algorithms and programs.
4. Refine assets based on feedback, ensuring their continuity of accuracy and functionality.
5. Work under the guidance of the Clinical Antimicrobial Stewardship Team to advance the bioMérieux Clinical Informatics solution.
6. Enhance existing tools/offerings on an on-going basis to accommodate market and business needs.
7. Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
8. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Training & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, health informatics, public policy, public administration, public health, healthcare administration, statistics, or a related technical field
• 4 years of relevant experience in health informatics, Information Technology, or relevant field with professional certifications (CompTIA or equivalent) will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree

Experience

1. Minimum 4 years of experience in data visualization. 
2. Experience in support of LIS interfaces, servers, software applications, hardware, middleware, and computers a plus.
3. Experience as a Lab/Medical Technologist or equivalent experience a plus.

1. Must be fluent in English with excellent communication, analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills. 
2. Must be able to work independently, effectively multitask to meet deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
4. Exhibit good decision-making ability, including problem resolution.
5. Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis.
6. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and partners.
7. Excellent visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge, such as layout, typography, color, interaction design and fluency with visual analytic tools.
8. Creative vision, a passion for learning and willingness to adopt and share new ideas.
9. Employs the expertise of others and provides expertise in a team environment.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) products.
11. Proficiency in project management software tools.
12. Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) communication protocols, such as HL7, and an understanding of interoperability in the Healthcare space is a plus.
