Registered MFT Associate - Position Profile


The School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary’s Pasadena, CA campus invites applications for a part-time, on-site position as an MFT Associate (AMFT) at Fuller Psychological and Family Services (FPFS). FPFS is the clinic of the Fuller School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy.

Brief Description:
Individuals who have their master's degree from a Marriage and Family Therapy program may qualify as an AMFT. AMFT's provide psychotherapy to clients weekly, including individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), couples and families. AMF's receive individual and group supervision (as needed) weekly. In addition, AMFT's have access to other training opportunities at FPFS such as in-service lectures and advanced seminars. This position reports administratively to the FPFS Executive Director and reports clinically to an FPFS licensed supervisor. 


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides therapy to a caseload of 20 clients
  • Completes appropriate paperwork for each client
  • Receives one hour of individual supervision weekly from a licensed marriage and family therapist
  • Receive an additional two hours of group supervision weekly from a licensed FPFS therapist as required
  • Receives an additional hour of supervision if seeing clients in a language other than English (from a licensed supervisor who speaks that language)
  • Attends monthly business meetings
  • Present in the clinic at least one night per week from 6PM – 9PM.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Registered as an Associate MFT
  • Strong interest in working with children, adolescents, families, and couples
  • Seeks a post-licensure career as a MFT in private practice

Pay Scale:

  • Hourly rate the seminary expects to pay: $27.00 per hour USD
