DUTIES: Scope, design, + build scalable + resilient distributed infrastructure, platforms, + systems. Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout entire software lifecycle. Execute Infrastructure and Software delivery utilizing an Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) for continuous delivery, Infrastructure as code, PowerShell scripting, Operation Portals (e.g.,Azure Portal) + Monitoring Portals (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace and Application Insights) in a robust, timely + cost-effective manner. Execute our migration efforts from Azure PaaS/IaaS services to Kubernetes (AKS), Docker containers or WebApps/App Services by collaborating with Architects, Developers, Configuration Management, Network + Security teams. Balance delivery of multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously. Mentor + support engineers at all junior levels. Share best practices + improve processes within + across teams. Build infrastructure definitions for high resiliency requiring systems + leverage tech skills to troubleshoot across multiple verticals, execute multi-regions of high-availability systems + provide operational support for systems under purview. May undergo background checks. Occasional on call for production support 24x7. May require pre-hire technical screen. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S. May work remotely but report to HQ location in: 4608 Willard Ave., Chevy Chase, MD 20815. Multiple positions open. Salary: $125,000 - $190,000 per year.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Comp Sci or related field. 3 years of rel exp in Cloud DevOps and Cloud Architecture. Requires skills: (3 yrs exp in) Azure environments and offerings, Subscriptions, Load balancing, Firewall, DNS, production support, incident triaging, and root cause analysis; (2 yrs exp in) Azure Kubernetes, Azure functions, Webbapps, CosmosDB, MS SQL, Powershell scripting, working with monitoring tools, integration software, build and release automation products, and Infrastructure as Code technologies.
