Role Summary
The Senior Tax Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Company’s corporate tax department primarily responsible for the timely preparation of all income tax returns, extensions and estimated tax payments, assisting with quarterly and annual income tax provision process and assisting with other tax planning and special projects.
Role Description:
- Prepare consolidated US federal and state/local tax returns in addition to proforma and separate company tax returns and supporting workpapers
- Preparation and analysis of book/tax differences for provision and tax return compilation
- Prepare US federal, state, and local quarterly estimated payment and annual tax return extensions
- Preparation of annual report filings
- Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 including preparation of financial statement footnotes and disclosures
- Assist with cash tax forecasting and ETR modelling
- Maintain tax compliance calendar and ensure all tax deadlines are timely met
- Management of responses to tax notices, exam information requests and other correspondence.
- Assist with corporate tax initiatives and tax planning
- Assist with the tax related portion of vendor and customer new set ups and related tax forms.
- Monitor and assess changes in tax laws and regulations and conduct tax research to author or co-author related internal memorandums
- Collaborate with other departments, such as treasury, accounting, legal, and operations, to gather necessary information for tax compliance, provision and planning
- Continuously identify and define process improvement opportunities to facilitate streamlining and automation of data for efficiency
Key Qualifications:
- 3+ years previous corporate tax experience, preferably two+ years in public accounting or large corporate tax department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Masters of Tax preferred
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Essbase) a plus
- Experience with OneSource tax software a plus
