We are looking for a talented and motivated individual with a background in transportation planning, marketing, outreach or facilities to support management of the onsite transportation and transportation demand management (TDM) program at the local worksites of our client – a global tech company – in Puget Sound, including Seattle and Kirkland.

The role of the Transportation & Commute Program Coordinator is to directly support our client’s commute program, including developing site strategies, implementing corporate mobility programs, developing transportation policies and initiatives, and utilizing behavior change techniques such as motivational interviewing to encourage multimodal commutes which help to reduce the parking demand and local congestion. The role will support the development and implementation of parking policies, multimodal travel options, rewards, and incentives while coordinating with Transportation Team members at other client offices in North America to ensure the delivery of a consistent and effective employee commute program.

  • Site Management: Plan and manage day-to-day transportation operations onsite for our client’s local offices in Seattle and Kirkland, and provide remote transportation operations support for the Portland OR and Boulder CO offices.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for local site leadership, communicate effectively regarding deliverables and requests, escalate issues or challenges, and maintain records on project/task progress.
  • Program Management: Partner with the Operations Team to provide input, feedback, and monitor data for programs such as Vanpool, Transit, Carpool, and Commute Coaching.
  • Site Strategy: Support planning and development of site-based multimodal transportation strategies, review with relevant colleagues and leadership, and track progress.
  • Metrics: Gather and analyse site-based transportation data, identify relevant metrics, develop insights and report on trends, provide regular updates to leadership, and make actionable, data-driven recommendations.
  • Employee Outreach: Plan and coordinate onsite transportation events such as bike safety and awareness campaigns, commuter fairs, and one-to-one commuter engagement.
  • Local Events: Maintain awareness of other local outreach events (internal and external) and understand alignment of events with the site strategy.
  • Internal Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships and meet regularly with the Parking Operations, Electric Vehicle, Bike Operations, Rideshare and Facilities teams to exchange updates, escalate issues, manage tasks, gather metrics, and coordinate on policies, programs, events and initiatives.
  • External Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with external partners, such as transit agencies, local jurisdictions, and transportation management organizations (TMA/TMOs), and stay informed about local regulations, policies and programs.
  • Budget and Contract Management: Manage the site budget, track contracts/renewal dates, create purchase orders, track vendor invoices, and update/adjust forecasts regularly.
  • Employee Engagement: Manage and respond to employee inquiries and feedback, develop content for site newsletters, create communications plans, and collaborate with team members to increase the effectiveness of engagement against site metrics.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage updates to internal transportation web pages
  • Participate, present and create content for employee forums (e.g. new employee orientation)
  • Work with other Transportation Coordinators to create consistent transportation behavior change programming
