Key responsibilities:

  • Perform hydrodynamic and seakeeping calculations for roll damping systems design.
  • Conduct and analyze model tests and CFD calculations, both in-house and external.
  • Coordinate with shipyards, ship designers, and classification societies.
  • Provide technical support to sales, including proposal preparation and specification development.

Job description

Your mission
  • Performing hydrodynamic and seakeeping calculations for the design of roll damping systems
  • Conducting and analysing model tests and CFD calculations (both in-house and external)
  • Carrying out the sea trials and performing on-board measurements
  • Coordinating with the shipyards, ship designers and classification societies
  • Providing technical support to sales, including proposal preparation and specification development
  • Performing stability calculations (e.g., for floating docks and crane ships) and validating the loading computer output data
Your profile
  • A degree in Naval Architecture or a comparable technical discipline, preferably at the master’s level
  • Familiarity with various CFD tools is advantageous
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB is considered a strong asset
  • Excellent command of English and good proficiency in German, both written and spoken
  • A goal-oriented, proactive, and assertive approach to work
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a team environment
  • Practical experience in a maritime setting is highly desirable
