About Your Responsibilities
We are seeking a forward-thinking, highly skilled and experienced Engineering Applications Lead (Autodesk Vault Upgrades, Implementation, Integration, Solution Architect) to lead the development, integration, and support of engineering software tools and systems. This role is critical in ensuring that engineering teams have robust, efficient, and scalable digital tools to drive innovation, product development, and operational excellence.
List of key responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional, enterprise level projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and new tool implementations. Facilitate discussions to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements. Define project plans and deliver on expected results.
- Integration & Customization: Leverage user insights and needs to design, develop, and support customizations to engineering tools and integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, MES, PDM).
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineering and internal IT teams to streamline workflows, automate processes, and improve system performance. Use effective change management to drive adoption.
- Application Management: Administer, configure, and maintain engineering applications such as CAD, PLM, CAE, and simulation tools (e.g., Autodesk™ Inventor ®, Autodesk™ Vault ®, Autodesk™ Fusion Manage ®, Solidworks, Creo, Ansys).
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with software vendors for licensing, resolving complex problems, and roadmap planning.
- User Support & Training: Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and training to engineering application users across departments. Assist in mentoring junior analysts to expand team capabilities.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
What You Need
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in configuring, deploying, and supporting Autodesk® applications and other CAD software (Creo/Solidworks/MathCAD), with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proficiency in the engineering software (Autodesk™ suite of applications).
- Demonstrable experience of implementing, integrating, and customizing Autodesk™ software using APIs.
- Autodesk™ Vault ® VAO and Data Standard implementation and support experience.
- Demonstrable experience of leading IT software development, either using internal staff or external service providers.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL), APIs, and system integration tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience leading multi-person, international virtual teams.
- Aptitude in self-learning and identifying improvements and ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, having excellent initiative and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
