Job description

This is a remote position.

Position Overview:

Orthogonal is seeking a results-focused Client Principal to build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with our key clients. As a Client Principal, you will be a strategic advisor, trusted partner, and advocate for our clients, ensuring their success and driving mutual growth. You will be responsible for understanding their business objectives, identifying opportunities to add value, and ensuring the successful delivery of our solutions and services. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, relationship management expertise, business development acumen, and an understanding of the SaMD space.



Client Principal Duties & Responsibilities

      Client Management (50%)

      Support Successful Delivery (30%)

      Revenue Generation (20%)

Client Relationship Management:

      Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned key clients.

      Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships at all levels within client organizations, including executive stakeholders.

      Proactively understand clients' business goals, challenges, and priorities.

      Conduct regular client meetings and business reviews to assess satisfaction, identify opportunities, and ensure alignment.

      Act as an advocate for the client within Orthogonal, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.

Strategic Account Planning

      Develop and execute strategic account plans that outline clear objectives, growth strategies, and measurable outcomes for each client.

      Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Orthogonal’s products and services to meet evolving client needs.

      Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, delivery, product) to develop tailored solutions and proposals.

      Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights to clients and identify potential opportunities.

Business Development & Growth

      Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Orthogonal's footprint within existing client accounts.

      Collaborate with the sales team on new business opportunities within assigned accounts.

      Contribute to the development of compelling value propositions and presentations for clients.

      Achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets and growth objectives for your client portfolio.

Project Oversight & Delivery

      Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure the successful implementation and execution of projects and services for clients.

      Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and proactively work to mitigate them.

      Ensure client expectations are managed effectively and projects are delivered on time and within budget.

      Gather client feedback on project delivery and identify areas for improvement.

Reporting & Analysis

      Track and report key account metrics, including revenue, growth, satisfaction, and engagement.

      Regularly update internal stakeholders on account performance and progress against strategic plans.

      Analyze client data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.


Requirements

Qualifications:

      Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

      Minimum 4 years of experience in client management, account management, or a related role, preferably within the SaMD or medical software industry.

      Proven track record of building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients.

      Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets within existing accounts.

      Strong understanding of medical device companies, specifically for software development, and the challenges and opportunities faced by clients in this space.

      Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

      Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective account plans.

      Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

      Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

      Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other relevant business tools.

Salary:

up to $170,000 + commission
