Privacy & Data Security Counsel | Fully Remote | Nationwide Firm

Our Nationwide client — a recognized leader in the legal industry with a forward-thinking approach and award-winning culture — is seeking a seasoned Privacy and Data Security Attorney to join its national practice. This firm has redefined what a modern legal career can look like, offering a dynamic, fully remote model without sacrificing the prestige or caliber of work found at top-tier institutions.

Why This Firm?

This full-service, national firm has built a reputation for legal excellence and an inclusive, collaborative culture. With 160+ attorneys of mostly Big Law alumni who receive accolades from Chambers, Best Lawyers, Bloomberg Law, and The Washington Post, this is an opportunity to do high-level work with sophisticated clients in an environment that values flexibility, autonomy, and innovation. The open compensation model will exceed your expectations.

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of the firm’s growing privacy practice, you’ll:

  • Advise clients on global privacy laws, including U.S. frameworks, GDPR, and other international standards.

  • Guide clients through compliance strategies for data protection, breach response, data retention, and more.

  • Draft and negotiate privacy-forward agreements such as MSAs and data protection addenda.

  • Develop internal and external privacy tools, training materials, and accountability structures.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both legal and business stakeholders across industries.

Ideal Candidate:
  • 8+ years of deep experience in privacy and data security, with a global lens.

  • Prior tenure at an AmLaw 200 firm or similar high-caliber boutique environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and global data protection regimes.

  • Certifications in privacy (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E) are strongly preferred.

  • J.D. from a top-tier law school.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

Perks of the Role:
  • 100% remote with flexible scheduling.

  • Opportunities available on both a full-time and part-time basis.

  • Join a firm that champions autonomy while providing a collaborative, elite-level legal environment.
