Description

Northland is looking for a Commissioning Engineer in Singapore. 

 

As a Commissioning Engineer you are responsible for leading the testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning of security and low-voltage systems. This role requires extensive travel, with at least 50% of the time spent on-site at project locations, both domestically and internationally. Ideally the position is based out of Milpitas, CA.  This position can be remote for individuals close to an international airport. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of security and low-voltage systems.
  • Ensure all installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations.
  • Work closely with project managers, field teams, and clients to resolve issues and optimize system performance.
  • Perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, and system adjustments.
  • Train end-users and provide technical support for post-installation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of testing results, site conditions, and system performance.

 

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Must be willing and able to travel 50%+ (local, domestic, and international).
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, and network infrastructure.
  • 5 years of experience in system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and teams effectively.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain necessary travel visas.
