Position: Associate RF Engineer

Location: Lanham MD

C Squared Systems is currently seeking an Associate RF Engineer for our office in Lanham, Maryland. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Applicants must have a strong technical aptitude and be comfortable working in high pressure situations. The candidate will be interacting with customers and co-workers on a daily basis and must be able to provide timely and detailed updates. Staff will be exposed to various RF applications and should understand the best practices for any given situation. Position will require both field work, office work and frequent night work.

Job Description: 

• Perform system tests using scanners, spectrum analyzers, transmitters, and other electronic test equipment
• Macrocell and DAS design and system performance optimization
• Evaluation and optimization of RF propagation prediction and data collection tools
• Radio Frequency Exposure Studies
• Intermodulation and Interference Analysis
• Public Hearing Attendance and Testimony may be required
• Work hands on with system components such as antennas, fiber optics, coax, and RF amplifiers and receivers
• Multi-task projects on a day-to-day basis
• Maintain test equipment and tools for continuous use
• Travel to various job sites within the Maryland and outlying regions (DC, Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware).
• Occasional domestic air travel

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science program in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Understanding of RF principles/theory (Signal Path, Power, Frequency, Noise, Modulation, etc.)
• Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
  1. Strong computer skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials
• Ability to receive and give direction on an as needed basis
• Have the desire to learn and advance within a technical field
• Must have a valid driver’s license 
• Previous experience with wireless systems architecture is preferred
• Experience or familiarity with radio frequency devices and/or systems is highly desirable
• Experience with RF Test & Measurements equipment and familiarity with radio frequency devices and/or systems is highly desirable.
