About the Job

We are looking for a Power BI Lead Developer with 8+ years of experience in designing and developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI, and 5+ years working with SQL/Database systems

What You'll Do

Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.
Data Modeling & DAX: Develop robust data models in Power BI and write optimized DAX queries for business logic implementation.
Database and SQL: Make changes to source SQL tables and design data model
Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI performance by fine-tuning queries, managing large datasets, and using best practices in data modeling.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users, analysts, and data engineers to understand reporting needs and translate them into Power BI solutions.
Security & Access Control: Implement row-level security (RLS) and other access control mechanisms to ensure data privacy and governance.
Automation & Deployment: Manage Power BI Service (Cloud), workspaces, gateways, and scheduled refreshes, and integrate with Power Automate for automation.

Requirements

Preferred Skills and Experience

8+ years of experience in Power BI development with a strong understanding of BI concepts.
Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language).
Strong hands-on experience in data modeling, star schema, and dimensional modeling.
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.
Experience in handling large datasets and optimizing Power BI performance.
Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance in Power BI.
Excellent communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
Experience with Agile methodologies and version control tools like Git is a plus.
Knowledge of AI/ML-powered analytics in Power BI.
Experience in integrating Power BI with Python/R for advanced analytics.
