Build your career at Iress!

We are looking for a product professional to be part of Iress’ transformation, in delivering next-generation Global Trading and Market Data (GTMD) applications within a SaaS based distribution model.

The Product Analyst plays a critical role in detailed analysis of product opportunities and driving data-informed decision-making as identified and defined by the team. Collaborating closely with a broad range of stakeholders, the Product Analyst will provide subject matter expertise to support the end-to-end product lifecycle by gathering and analysing user data, market trends, and business requirements to identify opportunities, validate product ideas, and evaluate product performance; to drive the detail of the product vision forward.

The Product Analyst will champion the suite of Data and Analytics GTMD  products, advocating for its value proposition, ensuring it is ‘fit for purpose’ through the effective translation of key product features and tangible experiences that excite our clients, drives business growth, and sees Iress as industry leader in the innovation of financial technology.

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

  • Working collaboratively with the Data and Analytics Product Team and our Engineering Teams to ensure problems are well understood, clearly defined  and there is a clear path on how the strategic vision will be translated into modern and market leading software.

  • Effectively  research and articulate complex technical, financial and conceptual ideas into actionable insights, specifications and plans.

  • Analyse product usage, client behavior, and performance metrics to inform feature development and enhancements. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to guide prioritisation and continuous improvement.

  • Manage aspects of cross-team dependencies (within and beyond Product Teams) to keep track of key products and deliverables from inception to production iterations.

  • Work closely with our clients to understand key pain points, build advocacy and develop  a client centric solution  to challenges to be solved.

  • Champion the internal and external adoption of foundation capabilities and services.

  • Define learning and adoption pathways for internal and external consumers of foundational capabilities.

  • Undertake market analysis and research to inform product prioritisation and sequencing, and that product roadmaps are complete and iterated upon.

  • Ensure product backlogs are regularly groomed and that the backlog accurately reflects current status.

  • Proactively contribute to discovery sessions, ensuring outcomes are shaped to benefit our clients and more broadly, GTMD.

  • Actively contribute to go to market plans, documenting solutions  for handover to our Product Support and regional account management and sales teams.

What you will bring:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a product, data, business analyst, or similar role—preferably within a SaaS or data driven environment.

  • Proficient in SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, AWS quicksight or Python libraries).

  • Experience with analytics and SQL, and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS/Azure/GCP) (ETL/ELT concepts).

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product management processes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with an ownership and adaptable working style.

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking.

  • Customer-centric and user-experience focused.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

  • Team player with a collaborative approach.

  • Nice to have, Trading and Market Data domain knowledge, plus familiarity with cloud data platforms (Databricks and Snowflake)

Why work with us?

  • 8 additional paid days per year to extend your weekends

  • Hybrid working

  • Generous cash bonus for every successful referral
