What’s the mission you’ll drive

Safeguard Addi's financial and operational integrity by independently assessing and enhancing internal controls, risk management, and governance processes, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, while supporting the Company's strategy.

What you will do
  • Complete the first annual internal audit plan, ensuring key risk areas across the organization are reviewed, and actionable recommendations are provided to relevant stakeholders within the agreed timeline.

  • Establish and refine the internal audit methodology in accordance with the organization's strategy, objectives and risks. .

  • Successfully support regulatory audits and examinations by providing accurate information, clear documentation, and demonstrating robust internal control frameworks.

  • Implement a follow-up process for audit findings, resulting in the remediation of high-priority findings from completed audits.

  • Contribute to enhancing the company's risk assessment framework by integrating insights gained from internal audits, leading to a more proactive identification and mitigation of emerging risks

  • Support the regulatory approval process by proactively identifying and driving the closure of regulatory gaps, resulting in a smooth and timely issuance of our operating license.

  • Deliver pre-launch report to the Audit Committee/Board, providing a clear, data-backed opinion on launch readiness and key residual risks.

What we’re looking for
  • Proven Internal Audit Expertise in a Regulated Financial Environment:

    • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, external audit (with a strong focus on financial services/banking clients), or risk management within the banking, financial services, or fintech industry.

    • Direct experience in reviewing and advising on the design of controls for core banking systems and processes.

    • Deep understanding of internal audit principles, methodologies, and standards specifically within the banking or regulated financial services sector.

  • Outstanding Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking capabilities

    • Proven ability to identify significant control weaknesses, develop practical and value-added recommendations, and effectively track their implementation, resulting in measurable improvements to the control environment.

    • Experience in preparing and presenting clear, concise, and impactful audit reports and presentations to senior management and Audit Committee.

  • Regulatory Knowledge & Compliance Acumen:

    • Proven experience interacting directly with the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC) or similar Latin American financial regulators during licensing and supervisory processes.

    • Strong knowledge of banking regulations relevant to Colombia and Addi's operations.

  • Solid Communication & Stakeholder Management skills

    • Clearly and concisely communicate audit findings and recommendations, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences including Audit Committee

    • Builds collaborative relationships while maintaining independence.

    • Earns trust and respect from product managers, engineers, and executives through deep expertise and pragmatic, risk-based arguments. Persuades teams to embrace strong controls without formal authority, acting as a respected partner.

  • Exceptional Ownership & Initiative:

    • Takes full responsibility for audit projects, anticipates needs, identifies opportunities for improvement, and acts proactively

    • Proactively identifies an emerging risk area based on industry trends and proposes an off-cycle audit to address it, when needed
