Position Summary:

• Codes and classifies data sets according to ICD, CPT, DSM guidelines using the CM Coding software package.
• Maintains current knowledge of guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements.
• Monitors unit functioning through direct observation of patient care and milieu and review of medical record documentation.
• Participate in recruitment, interviews, hiring, and orientation of new staff.
• Complete admission nursing assessment per policy and as assigned.
• Conduct patient round on assigned patients at the beginning of the shift to ensure all patients are present and to identify if there are any immediate needs that need to be addressed.

Qualifications

Education:  Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Experience: 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience, with one-year management experience.
