Position Summary:

The Picking Lead is responsible for overseeing the picking of all Direct, Wholesale, International, and MacKenzie-Childs Retail Store orders from inventory and ensuring timely delivery to the packing area. This position supports productivity and workflow by assigning tasks, providing guidance to Packing Associates, and ensuring orders are packed accurately and efficiently.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

  • Lead and monitor the picking process, ensuring all orders are accurately selected and delivered to the packing area
  • Assign tasks and provide direction to Picking Associates to meet daily operational goals
  • Ensure picking procedures are followed and maintained in alignment with company standards
  • Train and mentor Picking Associates, providing feedback and supporting their performance
  • Monitor inventory of picking materials and coordinate restocking as needed to support workflow

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position provides functional guidance to Picking Associates but does not have direct supervisory authority.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior warehouse or picking experience required
  • Experience in a lead or coordinator role preferred

 

Special Requirements:

  • Occasional overtime and weekend work as required to meet business needs

 

Location: Fulton, NY

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to read and interpret paperwork
  • Maintain consistent, dependable attendance

 

Equipment Used:

  • Safety Equipment: Safety shoes

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists
  • Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects
  • Light mental and visual attention required for performing work where there is some variety but actions taken and decisions made are limited to few possibilities. Work requires some coordination with others

 

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes and noise

 

 

Salary Range: $19.00/hr
