Our partner, Oxford Tutors is seeking a virtual IT Support Contractor to assist with ad hoc technical needs.

Looking for a reliable, tech-savvy contractor who can support our growing team on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, troubleshooting, and implementing small systems improvements across platforms like Google Workspace, website builders, and internal operations tools.
You'll serve as our go-to technical expert for occasional projects and one-off issues, jumping in when a task is beyond the scope of our internal team. This is a flexible, remote role with no fixed hours or minimum commitment, though we value responsiveness and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities (as needed):

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Google Workspace issues (alias management, email routing, permissions)
  • Assist with low-priority website updates and maintenance (Squarespace, Wix, etc.)
  • Provide guidance on improving workflow tools (Calendly, Zapier, spreadsheets, CRMs)
  • Support internal IT requests related to file systems, data access, and syncing
  • Help with occasional systems cleanup and organization (e.g., folder structures, permissions)
  • Provide general tech support for team members facing platform-specific issues

    Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in IT support or systems administration (education or small business setting a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, cloud storage, and virtual productivity tools
  • Comfort with light website editing and third-party platforms
  • Problem-solving mindset with a customer-service approach
  • Clear and timely written communication
  • Availability to respond within 24 hours to requests
  • English Fluency
  • U.S. work authorization required
