Territory Representative - Wholesale NC, SC, VA

This remote role covers key accounts across the region. You will manage and expand customer relationships, exceed sales goals, and identify new opportunities. What You Do

  • Prospects and builds a network for new business opportunities and referrals.
  • Develop sales leads within the territory and follow up as needed identifying decision-makers amongst the targeted leads to start the sales process.
  • Cooperates with the wholesale sales leaders to determine essential strategic approaches for increasing sales.
  • Negotiates sales deals with a 70% or greater closing rate.
  • Attends sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on the market situation in assigned territory.
  • Handles cancellations or changes in sales orders and communicates the changes to the related departments.
  • Coordinates with customer service for the status of orders from related departments to ensure timely delivery to clients.
  • Keeps records of sales calls, contacts, and meetings and reports regularly to wholesale leaders.
  • Attends industry conferences to develop industry expertise and build a network as well as stay on top of industry trends.
  • Maintains a territory made up of the Mid and South Atlantic accounts.

What You Bring

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Three to four years’ proven experience in sales, preferably in high-end furniture, apparel, or other home furnishing or luxury goods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and drive for results.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities and versed in cold-calling sales techniques.
  • Ability to travel up to 85% of the time.
  • Exceptional negotiating skills and high energy “can do!” attitude.
  • Demonstrated sales track record with a high ratio of closing conversions.
