Description

Capital Paving and Construction is a premier heavy civil construction company specializing in large-scale infrastructure projects, including bridges and highway construction. Our commitment to safety, quality, and innovation drives our success. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Crane Operator to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of our projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate various types of cranes, including hydraulic, lattice boom, and tower cranes, to lift, move, and position materials safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and lifting plans to ensure proper execution of lifts.
  • Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on crane equipment to ensure safe and optimal performance.
  • Work closely with signal persons, riggers, and site supervisors to coordinate lifts and maintain safe operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific requirements.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to minimize risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in general construction tasks when not operating the crane.
Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience operating cranes in heavy civil construction.
  • NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and crane capacities.
  • Ability to read and interpret lift plans, blueprints, and job site specifications.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception for precision operations.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  • Physical ability to work in demanding environments, including adverse weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
