What You’ll Do:
Navitas is seeking a Senior IT System Engineer (Cloud Engineer) to work remotely. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud architecture, systems administration, and automation, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Provide network and systems administration of cloud and hybrid environments (Azure GovCloud, M365 GCC High).

  • Troubleshoot and escalate complex issues across VMs, servers, appliances, and cloud/on-prem infrastructure.

  • Design, build, and administer scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud system resources.

  • Plan and manage IT project deployments incorporating cloud optimization strategies.

  • Automate system processes using PowerShell/Bash, including CI/CD pipeline integration.

  • Monitor resource consumption, optimize costs, and enhance system performance and security.

  • Administer Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and cloud-based applications.

  • Perform OS upgrades, VM resource scaling, and security patching in Azure.

  • Provide escalation support to system owners across divisions.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.

  • Configure and manage Active Directory objects, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.

  • Contribute to process improvements, technical reviews, and policy development.

  • Support request fulfillment and work service tickets in accordance with AQL.

  • Debug and maintain custom code in support of current IT solutions.


What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. (Relevant experience may substitute.)
  • 3+ years of cloud engineering in support of cloud infrastructure and applications to include:
    • Microsoft Azure (GCC High)

    • Microsoft 365 (GCC High)

    • Active Directory

  • Certifications (Required):

    • CompTIA Security+

    • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator

Set Yourself Apart With:
  • PowerShell / Bash scripting

  • DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Management

  • DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Server/Desktop virtualization platforms

  • NAS protocols and storage systems

  • Basic Linux OS familiarity

  • Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity/authentication services
