Design-Led Product Manager – Automation & AI
Lifecycle Services at UDT is looking for a strategic, user-obsessed Design-Led Product Manager with strong experience in agile methodologies, automation technologies, and a growing passion for the expanding frontier of AI. This is a unique opportunity to blend product leadership, design excellence, and automation strategy—all while pushing the boundaries of what's possible with emerging technologies.
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams—engineering, UX, operations, and stakeholders—to create user-centered solutions that are not only intuitive and impactful but also scalable through automation and enhanced by AI innovation. You’ll carry the mindset of a designer, the toolkit of a technologist, and the vision of a product strategist.
Key Responsibilities
Product Discovery & Design Leadership
- Lead product discovery efforts with user research, journey mapping, and experience prototyping.
- Facilitate workshops that inspire divergent thinking while grounding direction in user needs and business outcomes.
- Champion a design-led culture—leveraging UI/UX standards, usability testing, and accessibility practices.
- Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, observe real interactions, and collect user analytics that inform iterative improvements.
Automation Strategy, Business Analysis & Process Optimization
- Own and evolve the automation roadmap in partnership with engineering and operations.
- Conduct business analysis to map and evaluate current-state processes, identify pain points, and surface areas for process improvement.
- Define and deliver automation solutions that measurably improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of core business workflows.
- Prioritize high-impact automation opportunities based on ROI, compliance needs, and strategic value.
- Collaborate with AI/ML SMEs to integrate intelligent features into process flows—e.g., document understanding, predictive routing, and conversational automation.
- Track and communicate impact through KPIs tied to operational performance and user experienceAgile Product Management
- Define and prioritize product backlogs, write user stories with strong acceptance criteria, and lead sprint planning and reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to shape OKRs and measurable outcomes across delivery cycles.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to align design, development, and delivery in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Work collaboratively with a team of Product Managers and Product Owners to align roadmaps, dependencies, and strategic priorities across product portfolios.
AI Exploration & Evangelism
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in generative AI, cognitive automation, and user behavior analytics.
- Lead rapid experimentation to test and validate AI-enhanced experiences.
- Frame “art of the possible” concepts with research-backed insights and technical feasibility assessments.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of product management experience, with proven work in design-led environments and automation-heavy initiatives.
- Strong command of agile frameworks, backlog management tools (e.g., Jira), and cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience in UX research, design systems, and rapid prototyping tools (Figma, Framer, etc.).
- Curiosity and working knowledge of AI/ML tools, APIs, and LLM applications—or strong desire to ramp quickly.
- Strategic communicator with the ability to simplify complexity and build alignment from discovery to delivery.
- Passion for inclusive, accessible design and ethical AI product development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in B2B SaaS, enterprise systems, or digital transformation programs.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
- Experience partnering with automation teams or leading initiatives in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
- Working knowledge of AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face), RPA development, or NLP applications.
- An ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of experience with Gitflow, automation scripting, or similar technical tooling.
