Immedica has had remarkable growth over the past years. We are currently searching for an experienced professional to join our team as a National Sales Director.

 

Job Description and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Business Unit Lead (BUL), the National Sales Director, Rare Genetic Epilepsy Franchise will be a key member of the commercial leadership team accountable for the growth of Ztalmy for CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder (CDD). The successful candidate will possess a strong record of accomplishment in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with specific experience in rare genetic epilepsy. The National Sales Director will oversee a team of Regional Account Managers (RAMs). This role requires a dynamic individual capable of driving performance, facilitating collaboration, and spearheading the strategic direction of our sales efforts.

 

Experience and Competence 

  • Partner with the BUL and relevant cross-functional stakeholders including Market Access, Marketing, Medical/Scientific Affairs, Compliance and Operations, as appropriate, to develop, review and refine product sales strategies across all regions.
  • Establish the national sales plan annually, including regional performance goals, objectives, KPIs and build incentive compensation plans to drive compliant on-label performance.
  • Lead the Sales Team in strategic and tactical planning to meet or exceed sales goals and performance objectives nationally and regionally; oversee delivery of impactful quarterly business reviews that positively contribute to results.
  • Build and maintain a high performing Sales Team – at all levels – that leverages mentoring, coaching and continuous feedback to foster an ethical mindset and continuous learning, development and improvement. Develop a pipeline of future sales leadership talent, that is grounded in the Company’s values and drives performance the right way, by establishing challenging business objectives, effectively assessing performance and potential, and proactively facilitating skill development at the RSD and Field levels.
  • Accountable for Sales Team operating budgets and resources across all regions; ensure appropriate allocation and implementation across the team to meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Identify and validate market opportunities and needs, and support development of plans to launch and refine new product and service offerings.
  • Lead performance metrics analysis at a national level to determine trends and performance indicators that influence current and future product sales strategies.
  • Partner with the US Marketing team to ensure effective execution of key initiatives that align with brand strategy and support achievement of national and regional sales goals.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 12+ years sales experience in biotech, pharmaceutical sales, or healthcare with a proven record of high performance, ethical leadership and consistent results; must have at least 5 years of experience building and leading exceptional sales teams, including field sales management through product launch.
  • Demonstrated Specialty Sales expertise in Rare Disease required, (Neurology/Epilepsy preferred). Thorough understanding of customer segments and regional market dynamics within relevant therapeutic area(s). Strong knowledge of market access dynamics preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, emotional intelligence, and people management skills, including strategic thinking, scientific acumen, value-driven leadership, building and optimizing teams, recruiting, and retaining great people, as well as developing, coaching, and mentoring colleagues and direct reports.
  • Excellence in additional professional competencies including collaborative and cross functional problem solving and communications, innovative thinking, sense of urgency, and a passion for helping patients and families living with rare genetic epilepsy.
  • Effective presentation and influencing skills up, down and across the organization.
  • Ability to travel nationwide is a minimum of 75%. The preferred candidate resides in a city or suburb with a major airport. Candidates who reside within a reasonable driving distance to a major airport may be considered. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to drive an automobile.

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is: $220,000 - $240,000, based on several factors including, but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
