Description

10bet South Africa, is looking for an experienced Copywriter to join the dynamic team in the Johannesburg office.

The position will report to the Marketing VP and thus support the Marketing team in terms of copywriting duties.

The ideal candidate will have the below detailed experience and expertise:



Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute clear, persuasive, and engaging copy for:
  • Brand and Web content
  • Integrated campaigns across social media, email/SMS, and digital platforms
  • ATL materials: TV scripts, radio spots, print ads, OOH (Out of Home)
  • BTL materials: brochures, flyers, point-of-sale, CRM campaigns
  • Internal and external communications
  • Collaborate closely with the creative team, strategists, designers, and production partners to ensure messaging is consistent and aligned with the brand voice and objectives.
  • Lead scriptwriting and ideation for audio-visual formats including TVCs, radio, digital video, and brand films.
  • Ensure all content is brand-appropriate, culturally relevant, and strategically driven.
  • Guide and mentor junior writers and content contributors as needed.
  • Work with account and strategy teams to interpret briefs and develop concepts that deliver results.
  • Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, and tone.
  • Stay up to date with marketing trends, pop culture, and digital best practices.


Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with production workflows (pre-production, shooting, VO direction, post-production).
  • Experience working with B2C and B2B brands across industries.
  • Background in marketing strategy or communications planning is a bonus.


Requirements:

10+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably within a production house, creative agency, or brand-side content studio.

A strong portfolio demonstrating experience across ATL, BTL, digital, and social content formats.

Expertise in writing for diverse formats: long-form web content, social copy, SMS/email campaigns, video scripts, etc.

Solid understanding of brand tone, positioning, and storytelling techniques.

Experience collaborating with producers, directors, and post-production teams.

Excellent command of English (both written and verbal); multilingual capabilities are a plus.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Strong presentation skills and the ability to confidently sell in creative ideas.
