Job description

Summary:

The Large Quotes Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Large Quotes team, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive quotations are provided for complex, multi-opening, and high-value door hardware projects. This role will manage workload distribution, monitor quote turnaround times and support team development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the Large Quotes team in the preparation and submission of accurate, competitive, and timely quotes for large and complex projects.
  • Monitor team performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and productivity goals, adjusting workflow and resources as needed to meet organizational targets.
  • Collaborate with vendors, manufacturers, and internal partners to negotiate pricing, lead times, and product availability for high-volume and custom jobs.
  • Review and approve high-value quotes, ensuring accuracy in pricing, product specification, terms, and scope.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to improve technical knowledge, quoting accuracy, and customer service skills.
  • Maintain organized records of quotes, revisions, and correspondence within company systems such as Salesforce or Prophet 21.
  • Analyze quote activity data and provide regular reporting on team performance and operational efficiency to leadership.
  • Partner with sales leadership and customer experience teams to resolve quote-related issues and improve processes.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining quoting standards, best practices, and process improvements.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused team culture.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in quoting, estimating, or pricing within the door hardware, construction, building materials, or similar industry.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial door hardware products, specifications, and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in TOAD, ProTech, Salesforce, Prophet 21 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to coach and mentor a team, fostering a positive, high-performance work environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Division 8 specifications. Experience in Division 10 is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with large-scale, multi-opening door hardware projects.
  • Experience with pricing frameworks, discount structures, and vendor factory quoting procedures within the door hardware industry.
